The Kissalo Box

Now, something with a little difference………………Sex, fun, frolics and well, simply a box with your favorite goodies in one place, delivered to you once a month or a simple single purchase.

I am always intrigued by these ‘love boxes’, I mean, what do you get the gal who has near enough, every sex toy that you could think of?  OK, I maybe elaborating on the truth but I’m pretty sure you get the gist?

So, when Kissalo.com asked if they could send me a box to review for them, I was more than happy to jump on the VW wagon and give it a good kicking into 2nd gear.

But first, let me delve into the mysteriousness of Kissalo.com.

Kissalo is a subscription service that made its arrival onto the UK’s sex toy scene in 2012.  Daniel Gillespie, who is a 24yr old head strong business man, jumped on the tidal wave that formed from the ’50 shades of grey’ hysteria.  And why not?  If you’re going to form a company that supplies a sexy box of goodies each month, for a fee, than releasing your company during the mid-drift of the ‘mummy porn’ phenomena, would be the time to do it.

You have 3 choices, you can either subscribe monthly, quarterly or purchase a one-off box;

One off – £34.95   ( debited once )
Monthly – £24.95  ( debited monthly )
Quarterly – £29.95 ( debited every 3 months )

You have the secure payment option of Paypal, Visa, American Express or Mastercard.  On the payment page, just before you sign up your payment option, you are given the information that all transactions will show up as ‘Portrait Consultancy Services Ltd’ on your paypal or card statement.  To me, this shows a discreet business, which goes hand in hand with their prompt and discreet postage.  Your item will turn up in a sturdy brown box, address correctly and showing no sign that your package has come from an adult product company.

Kissalo.com seem to go that little bit further, to find out what your likes/dislikes and orientation is, to ensure that the sexy package sent to you is personalized ‘Bespoke’.

Step 1 asks your sexual orientation, your sex, name & D.O.B, Step 2 delves into your senses, likes, dislikes (see below picture), Step 3 is your general billing/delivery information and where you get to pick what subscription that you would like, Step 4 is your login section and Step 5 is your payment processing section.

The Kissalo website is pretty easy to get around, the majority of what you need to know is on there. However, saying that, there is no actual Inventory list of products that are available, there is only a small photo on the main page.

Getting round to the actual box, I was excited to see what I would be getting.  Opening the box up, I was presented with the products wrapped in  white with red writing tissue packing paper, with Kissalo’s own branded name spread across the tissue paper.  Taking out the items, was like Christmas cumming again (see what I did there?).  Anyway, here is a list of what is in the box;

1 x rectangular PVC leather looking spank paddle   (£14.99)
2 x Fizz Wiz popping candy packets – cola & strawberry flavor   (15p per packet)
1 x Super Slik 100ml water-based lubricant   ( £5.00 )
1 x Liquid Love cherry warming massage lotion – 118ml bottle  ( £8.99 )
1 x 1 skins condom  ( 0.48p )
1 x Jasmine & Lily Boujies candle   ( £12.99 )

I’ve added in the actual retail prices of these products, to give you a roundabout price.  So in total, this box comes in at £42.75p (GBP).  So, a singular box costing £24.95p is a good price, with the customer saving just under £20.00 GBP.

As a reviewer, I’m pretty much experienced with every field of the sex toy sector, so to me this box isn’t screaming WOWZER! but for a person or couple coming into sex toys or those wanting a surprise, it has a good prospectus.

I do feel that there could be a better lubricant added i.e. Sliquid, Give lube, ID or even juicy lube.  The Liquid Love Massage Lotion is a delight, it smells of cherry when applied to the body and warms up slightly too.  But the best bit is when you gently blow over the applied body parts, the massage lotion warms up, driving you sense wild!

Imagine this; he’s massaging the lotion over your pert bum cheeks, gently blows, you’re getting comfortable and then WHAM, the paddle comes into play.  It’s not as bad as it sounds but then, I do like a good spanking.

I was a little bewildered about the 1 condom, I mean if you’re in for a night or weekend of fun, you will want a packet of condoms or more.  This would be where I’m promoting ‘safe sex’ but there are couples out there that have been together long enough, to trust each-other with bare back riding.  But I would have liked to have seen atleast 3 condoms in the box.  I was given a dots & ribs condom, maybe added 3 different types in (ribbed, sensitive and flavored) the box, it wouldn’t look as small.

Boujies produce the most luscious of candles and I was given one in the scent of Jasmine & Lily.  This candle smells amazing, it’s scent, whilst burning, fills my whole house up.  It’s a sensual, relaxing and not over bearing scent, which goes well with the Kissalo box.  The candle has a 35hour burning time, which is damn right amazing, for the likes of me!

Now onto the most important part, the popping candy! OMG, where do I start?  I’m a fan of ‘old school’ candy shops and Fizz Wizz popping candy is the first thing I go for, so imagine my 30yr old face lighting up, when I saw that there were 2 packets included? I was over the moon!  You can snack on these or add them into your ‘sexy time’, maybe try adding the popping candy in your mouth, as you go down and lick his candy?  Go on, give it a go!

I found that dealing with Kissalo.com, they were very polite, prompt and informative.  Their P&P is fast and discreet and the subscription service is a pretty funky idea, especially if you are receiving different products on a monthly basis.  I will say though that Kissalo may excel quicker, if there was a list of products that are available, as to give the consumer an idea of what may be in their surprise package.  I would also like to see a different lubricant provided, don’t get me wrong, I’ve reviewed the Super Slik lube and liked it but it just doesn’t give me that ‘umpth’ and a couple more condoms made available.  Or maybe Kissalo could put place a section in their questionnaire whether or not you would like condoms in your parcel?

But over all, for a product price of £42.75p GBP and you’d only be paying a max of £30.00, you’ve got a pretty good deal.
